The Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southern Queensland prepares international students with comprehensive scientific knowledge of the human body, disease processes and laboratory-based research techniques. Students study core topics including human anatomy and physiology, cell and molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology and pathophysiology, supported by hands-on laboratory experience using industry-leading facilities. The degree emphasises practical skills, scientific reasoning and research exposure, positioning graduates for careers in biomedical research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and public health sectors, as well as serving as a solid foundation for further study in medicine and advanced scientific degrees.
