Program Overview:

The Faculty of Education focuses on both professional and academic aspects of postgraduate studies, offering a Doctoral Program in Education along with a Master's degree in five specializations: Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration, Educational Psychology, Adult Education, Human Resource Development, and Indigenous Education. The Master of Education (MEd) programs can be pursued through a thesis, project, practicum, or course option. The Adult Education and Human Resource Development programs are available via thesis, project, or course pathways.

Applicants must fulfill the general admission criteria of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, in addition to specific requirements from the Faculty of Education. These include holding a four-year degree relevant to the program (typically a B.Ed., B.H.R.D., or B.A.Ed., or an equivalent qualification), having at least two years of relevant teaching or professional experience (preferred), and achieving a minimum grade point average of 70%. Additional requirements may apply depending on the individual program. Admission is also contingent on the availability of space and faculty supervision.
